Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills

PEERS®

The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) is an evidence-based social skills treatment to help individuals learn how to make and keep friends.

PEERS® may be appropriate for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression or other social and behavioral differences.

PEERS® for Preschoolers

*Parent-only sessions*

  • Next group:

    • To be announced

    • 16 sessions via telehealth

  • Parents will learn to coach their child on specific social skills, practice these skills with their child through weekly homework assignments, and receive feedback on their implementation during group sessions.

  • Parents of children ages 4-6 years will learn how to provide coaching on:

    • Having successful play dates

    • Listening and following directions

    • Meeting and greeting friends

    • Sharing and giving turns

    • Asking friends to play

    • Joining ongoing play

    • Being a good sport

    • Transitioning to new play activities

    • Asking for and giving help

    • Using volume control

    • Maintaining body boundaries

    • Monday evenings from 4:30-6 pm via telehealth

  • Adolescents (ages 12-18 years) will learn about:

    • Using appropriate conversational skills

    • Using humor appropriately

    • Using electronic communication

    • Entering and exiting conversations

    • Being a good host during get-togethers

    • Being a good sport

    • Handling arguments and disagreements

    • Changing a bad reputation

    • Handling rumors and gossip

    • Handling rejection, teasing, and bullying

    • August - September 2025

    • Wednesday evenings from 5-6:30pm via telehealth

    • All inquiries require a 30-minute Zoom intake with the young adult and their social coach or caregiver. Complete this form to be contacted to schedule your intake.

  • Young adults (ages 18-35 years) will learn about:

    • Developing and maintaining friendships

    • Entering and exiting conversations

    • Using humor appropriately

    • Using electronic communication

    • Dating skills

    • Organizing get-togethers

    • Handling direct and indirect bullying

    • Handling disagreements

    • Handling dating pressure
